Yeah! That hurt!

That was a temper tantrum reaction to the FED statement...That's all that was! -2.144% to close out January! Ugh!

Well I guess that's what happens when a bunch of Gen Z and Millennials don't get their way! LOL!

Absolutely! I'm thinking a solid 5-6% to the positive would be real nice!

Riddle me this: Fed says rates will stay high longer--yet bond market responds by lowering their rates. What's happening?

Usually they say the expected rate for the 2 year is the one to follow. I'm not entirely sure why the market keeps getting it "wrong" (or maybe its the Fed that's not listening), but something is definitely up. I wouldn't say that's a sell signal at all...but I think another year or 2 will bring us into a great time to hang out in the G Fund.

The rates did recoil back early this week. But the bond market, unlike the stock market, is rarely wrong in forecasting these things--so I agree something is up (e.g. being hidden from us). That "up" could be they know, in spite of Fed plans to keep rates high, they soon will be forced to do an unplanned emergency funds rate drop this year. There can only one circumstance for them to do that. That emergency cut is what the bond market is positioning for now.

Again, my coin flip opinion.

S Fund has been on a tear for the past 5 trading days tacking on over 4.5%...I suspect today should be a healthy pullback, keyword here is "healthy" not "Bloodbath" people....keep your Bi-Polarness in check....and resist the urge to panic sell!

Hopefully, we can head off any craziness by telling the younger generations to just chill and let the market work! Before they see "RED" and think the world is ending!

May be challenging today. CPI up and markets down pre market.

I am now of the belief that this constant whip sawing of the markets is being done on purpose...Its meant to keep people on the sidelines, keep you, me and everyone else in the G fund, or face losing money! By doing this they keep themselves in the know and in the money....and keep the rest of us poor and ill-informed!

These markets have been whip sawing real bad since 2016...it's unstable, unsustainable, and I think a crash is inevitable!...When? IDK

But I believe it's coming!

People REALLY NEED to stop freaking out....geez....So What!....maybe the FED won't cut rates...but one thing I know for certain is this will come back up....the gap down this morning will act as a giant magnet and pull investors back in to fill the void....That's the thing about gaps....they almost ALWAYS get filled or nearly filled....Stay on target and hopefully we don't get screwed like 2022!
