I don't either bother looking at that. What's the point? We are choosing to maintain our federal employment and have to accept what comes along with that, both good and bad. No one is stopping us from leaving.

That may be true for you. The article might provide some folks that nearing retirement some perspective on potential impacts. As an example, the article talks about the impacts of high 3-5 in light of pay freezes. There are also some long term impacts that might affect how folks think about a continued career in Fed service.

The point of most of my posts in this arena are to provide information/opinions about Fed service in general. The items I tend to post are not investment related. I leave that to the real smart folks in that area.

I find it interesting that you commented on something you say you didn't even look at. :?

I agree, seems like this is useful for some people, and relevant to a site for federal workers, unlike some other posts!

It is correct however it does not account for the interest on the salary so it should actually be higher
