Furlough

Post by kshawk »

Anyone cutting back on TSP contributions to cover for the loss of time during the furlough? I figured if I lose the whole time which is 88 hours total it would equal a little over 3% loss of annual salary. Still running the numbers on how much to cut back or for how long.

We are being told 176 hours (1 day a week for 22 weeks) *NOT OFFICIAL*

On that note, the plan that I will deploy is to run my exemptions on my Federal Tax up as I currently have it at one and treat it like a savings account for a bigger tax return (I know, dumb to let the feds hold your money, but discipline is hard!). I think I can squeeze a couple hundred out that way per month.
