The agency I work for provided guidance and formal policy today. Not affecting me since I'm a contractor now but still worth noting

I've been to the briefing, but haven't yet signed any official paperwork.

What's wrong with some extra days off? What projects have you been putting off? Medical appointments? Museums to visit. Review financial program? Use your time wisely so vacation time is better utilized.

We sign our letters this Friday.

Nothing wrong with the extra time off. The issue is with the 20% pay cut.

I'm with inthecloud on this one, love the time off, hate the 20% pay cut.

I should place as other since this is not going to affect us since we are self-funded as others employees still have at least 30 hrs OT per PP available including WAH (expect to be more in April). Our SECTION is the only one without OT for the last two-year.

Cron,

It's only dream about early out for me as I'll be eligible next year with 25 yrs of services (still have more than decade to eligible for MRA). The last meeting that our agency are still hiring approx. 1K more for nationwide or at least 200 more will be add at my location for the rest of the FY2013.

No one in my division will be sequestered until June 1 and that is a maximum of 9 days. So it is wait and see till then.
Honestly, the cuts occurred a couple years ago and we have been doing the same with less since then. There are 5 empty offices next to mine as a result. With all of this sequester talk I am not allowed to travel and quite a few things have been cancelled. My workload has been greatly reduced and I kinda like it.

Need a choice of Does not apply or Exempted for those that work in certain VHA jobs.

Winner you're doing such a great job with options you should cut back to part time in the fed. Always enjoy your posts.

U. S. Border Patrol. Starting March 7, de-authorization of AUO, no FLSA, and one furlough day per pay period. We will work 30 percent fewer hours and take a 40 percent pay cut.
