Heckler, nice chart. It only goes to the 22nd...do you know if those are calendar days or trading days? The X-axis says "Day of Month"...but because there are only 22 days, I'd think it's actually trading days?

Definitely trading days, with this week (Dec 8th - 12th) constituting trading days 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

The other Tom post the seasonal charts in his "Market Comments". Scholl to the bottom of this one.

I'm sitting out a little longer, too much risk right now IMO. But I do think the SR will come, just a little later.
Question for you Cloud, and I hope it doesn't happen to you, but how much are you going to allow for a "stop loss"? Or are you determined to stay until Jan, "come hell or high water"?

Oh and when the Santa Rally comes, I do believe it will be the S fund leading, like today. But without the S&P being down.

I think with low gas prices, the Santa Rally will happen. Money is bound to come out of people's pockets for Christmas...so I'm in come hell or high water! However, I am out quickly come the new year. IMO, inflation and interest rate hikes are just around the corner.
I chose to get in today because it was looking like a 2% cumulative drop by day's close (that changed). In recent years, the SR was preceded by around a 2% drop. Also, K&D lines look oversold. It's as good of time as any I figure.
My only real stop loss for the SR would be a catastrophe (interest rate hikes, giant asteroids, etc).

Too bad you can't make an intraday IFT, you were all over that snap back Inthecloud.
I left this morning thinking "oh geez, maybe I should have followed Tomanyiron into the G fund yesterday." It looked real bad.
I have to think that's a bullish close but wow this market is a real whip saw. Let us know if/when you get into the (S)anta fund guys!
