VetVerify.org-Online Exchange Shopping Begins Nov. 11, 2017

Post by galveston1 »

For Veterans who did not retire (myself included), https://www.vetverify.org/ is now up and running. This is the website that can be used to verify your veteran's status for online shopping at the Military Exchanges starting on November 11, 2017. I just got my status verified and it only took about 2 minutes.

What could go wrong with giving your name, DOB, and SS# to a random online website?

LOL. The site is not random. It's linked with DEERS/VA and is overseen by the government.

Is we sure about that? I don't like the .org.

Hell... OPM gave up all my stuff, and all my families stuff to the Chinese a couple years ago!

November 11. Online only. You still can't get on base to pick up stuff.

I am registered there too. I don't know how the PX pricing compares to Amazon or Jet or the dozen other online sites I use, but I will comparison shop there just to see.
I was sad because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet.

Actually you will not be able to shop at the commissary under this new program. Only the Exchanges. AAFES, NEX, MSX, etc. (non-appropriated fund activities)

The Defense Commissary Agency is not part of this program. (DeCA is an appropriated fund activity)

"more than 21.5 million people have been affected. That includes a few million people who didn’t apply for clearances but who were listed in clearance paperwork. Spouses, family, friends, children. And not just social security numbers, birthdates, fingerprints, and SF-86 forms, but interview notes, too."
