Department of Homeland Security (U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services) here. We got 59 minutes today. Friday too.

I used to work at PSNS. We would only get a 59 on Christmas Eve. That was it. Then I moved to Okinawa. It seems like the USMC gives us a 59 before every holiday. I feel spoiled.

We did not get a 59 yesterday, though, because a Marine drove drunk four days ago and killed a local.

Been hearing that incident in the news. Am I understanding correctly that Americans cant drink outside the bases now?

The servicemen/women cannot drink period. Sales of alcohol on base have been suspended to everyone, and anyone in uniform can't drink on or off base.

the Early release is determined by your agency at whatever level they decide. I used to work for a satellite office and the home office would send out the early dismissal and forget to include us on the chain.

Awesome that some are getting 3 hours enjoy them!
