Personally I like reality shows. You never know what'll happen next. Though I do hope someday Netflix will pick this up so I don't have to sit through all the ads. My shares of Orville Redenbacher have skyrocketed over the last couple of years.

Or, Trumps bluff was called. He threatened tariffs and the Chinese didn't blink and started slowly devaluing their currency.

Trump realized the market was doing to go down and China wasn't going to come to the table so he was faced with the reality that peoples 401ks were going to start seeing a lot of red and now the stuff they buy directly was going to be more expensive.

Not a good situation to be in when trying to get re-elected.

China called his bluff and Trump caved. This only highlights how poorly he has handled this.

There are specific algorithms that trade under certain conditions. For example, algorithm driven, computer controlled trades are "triggered" by certain buzz words in the news headlines (Trump, trade, tariff, deal, etc.) so these algorithms drive the market higher or lower. Conversely, there are algorithm driven, computer controlled trades "triggered" by certain technical analysis factors (50 period, 200 period MAs). Tuesdays trade action is a perfect example of that. Trump tweets, hard rip higher, hits 50 day SMA, hard selling pressure. It's not ALWAYS the case, but it's very easy to utilize the obvious to make 2 trades a month and "beat the market". You'll never be always in the green, but 2 moves a month (into G 100% and back into market) can beat "buy and hold" if you are not greedy relatively easily. Mind you, I believe -10% annually is a win when the C fund is -15%

This happens and has happened under EVERY president. If you don't understand market manipulation until now, you haven't been paying much attention. It sucks, I know , I get it.
