Well there was a little move to the upside after the buy signal formed, but last week WALLOPED this indicator. Strong sell signal formed at the close of last week (20%), and it won't reverse until a really good day or two. This might be my jumping point off....

Sell in April and go Awapril? If the past 'best 6 months of the year' are any indication of the upcoming 'worst 6 months of the year', then it could be an interesting year.

Lost a little by switching to the S-fund earlier this month and last month, but pulled to the G-fund right before big back-to-back days of 1.50+ losses. Proud of myself for that, but can't blame that on prediction or skill; just a gut feeling. Hopefully S goes a bit lower and maybe end of May/early June it will "turn up" as my brothas from the ATL would say, and I can jump back to S at a profitable time.

After the bounce back from my previous post (the sell signal was quite short then went back into buy territory for about a month), the $OEXA200R sell signal formed again yesterday w/ the RSI & slow stoch indicators going 'negative'. I'm surprised it took so long given all the bad stuff going on, but since this tracks S&P, the indicator was lagging the small caps that were getting boned. May be my time to run to the G/F funds...may give it another day or two to help negate a whipsaw.

Sell signal indicated as of close yesterday, w/ negative RSI & MACD crossovers, and the Slow Stoch on the brink of going negative.

I'll be jumping out today to coincide w/ the seasonality switch to the G fund unless there is big run-up by noon.

Buy signal formed as of close yesterday. As long as today looks to be positive by noon, I'll be jumping in, and hoping for an extended Festivus rally.

I understand kjh176, I wouldn't sell just yet either, based on the market so far today. But can anyone be sure that yesterday was a "Head fake", or is today a "Bull Trap'? :? :?: :|

Bull trap, or head fake head fake? :-) At any rate, sell signal triggered as of close yesterday. So far, today is not looking too good, so the indicator will most likely see confirmation. May be time for me to jump.

There was a buy signal somewhere around xmas that I didn't post on this thread because I was on leave, but it looks like the sell signal exited as of close yesterday when the slow stoch went negative w/ the RSI. Today's reversal and downward pressure should put confirmation on it, so I'll most likely jump ship tomorrow.

Buy signal as of close yesterday, with all 3 indicators essentially turning positive (2 at the same time). I'll be monitoring today's action to determine a move from G to C/S (or not) by noon.

I see what you are saying kjh176, and in the past that alone would inspire me also. But as of late I’m perplexed about the market direction. Yes the market has been going up, but I’m just wondering for how much longer. For an example look at this chart of (!HLDIFTOT). http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=!HLDIF ... =390260858
You notice for the past year the RSI going below 30, then above has been a good buy signal? And going above 70, then dipping below has been a good sell signal? Look at Jan 5th; I determined that to be (along with other signs) a sell signal.

You can do your own research on the RSI, but my way of looking at it is this; when bulls start to get exhausted, you see above 70 readings. And then exhausted bears when the RSI is below 30 than back above.

Also interesting is the MACD almost flat line for a month.

They say “Never Say Never”, but my plan is not to go back into stocks, until after I see some brown on the RSI indicator, on this chart of !HLDIFTOT.

You'll pardon the absence of timeliness, but a sell signal formed as of close last Friday. Even with yesterday's higher close, the signal is still strong. From what I see with today's price action thus far, the indicator isn't changing anytime soon.
