Monday, September 20, 2010 - Market Breaking Out

Hello everyone. Still out of town on vacation but observing that the market appears to be breaking out from its range on pretty good volume. If it does hold we might see a pretty good little run. I'm dipping my toe back into the water to test it out. Be careful out there...........

Indeed it is, Rodney. Let's hope this isn't just a "case of the Mondays" for the market! *crosses fingers*

It's getting stronger towards the close! Looking pretty good.

All I can say is "wow." I had set up an IFT Friday evening hoping to catch a small gain today and then getting out. I was surprised when I logged on at 11:30 AM to see how the fund was doing. My face undoubtedly said :o. What happened to cause such a jump?

Jeffvan1 is probably right. The question now is whether or not the Fed will kill it tomorrow?

So far though this is a "picture perfect' breakout!

If you got in on Friday, great move............Just stay alert to see if it holds.......

Also, does this mean that when we post bullish/bearish polls here on the site we need to do the opposite of what the majority is thinking!? :?

Volume........I initially stated volume appeared to be pretty good, but the final results appear to be telling a different story..........looks like today wasn't on that good of volume, meaning we might be getting ahead of ourselves........

Hm... ahead of ourselves, perhaps. I've already made 3.0% on it... first sign of weakness and I'm gone.

S&I are up 10% since Aug 25 and 7% in September (which is usually a negative month with the seasonal method)... I bought in a couple of days ago just following my indicators but feel like it may have been too late and am weary of a regression back to the mean now with regards to a total September return. I agree, first sign of weakness hop out, be happy with a 2-5% gain.

Yea, a pullback would not surprise me at all. We've had a nice run.
