Shutdown Would Spare Childcare, DoD Schools
A Pentagon spokesman said today that childcare has been designated "exempt" from activities adversely affected if Congress does not pass a budget tomorrow. In addition, Col. David Lapan said, inpatient and essential outpatient health care at DoD medical facilities will go on, along with emergency dental care.
