Advance ebbs

The rate of ascent dulled last week, the Nasdaq forming a tight, six-day range from which Friday's breakout was reversed on Monday. The action is logical in light of many shares being extended short-term and ripe for a pullback.
Bull markets that are broad in participation do not simply end on a dime. There is a topping process in which a few stocks here and a few there top. This usually takes months and sometimes more than a year. Nothing that resembles this transpires currently.
With evidence showing the individual investor is now embracing stocks again, ongoing rotation out of bonds and into shares may provide more kindling, as should the expanding economy.
In the meantime, inside the growth sector, and including the builders, one is seeing the most weakness since this advance began Nov. 16. Facebook (FB), Three D Systems (DDD), Stratasys (SSYS), Ruckus Wireless (RKUS), MI Homes (MHO), Netsuite (N), Michael Kors Holdings (KORS) are examples.
