Yes, if I know how far it will go then I will difinitely hold on to get the max profit, but at that time it went so quick and I sold short (PUT $490) for credit at $6.1*2 or to guarrantee more than 300% and I still have $460/$470 to $490 is another $5K and APPL was traded around $481 or $482 (maybe higher) at that time since I affraid it may pulled back before it continue up as I don't have time to watch the market. The way I do it is try roll over as far as I can to keep the free play and continue to collect couple hundred weekly. If I short $505 Strike this week and buy net week for credit and if it closed on Friday around $505 that is a guarantee $1k with a free $505 strike for next week. I test this strategy as I try to roll as many free trades as I can to guarantee extra income.

Today - COST PUT Bought $115 / Sold $113 (when it up) then sold $112 and bought $110 (when it down) two separate order for $.81 so as long as it trade between $112-$113 that guarantee over 100% by this Friday, breakeven at $114.19.

Ok, my math is wrong  on other post as I use $1M*.027 (instead of percent) = $27K.

APPL - bullish trade
ITM - Sold PUT SEP 13 $510 @ $12.35 & Bought SEP 21 $505 @ $12.60 for net debit $.25 (Set for breakeven but it wasn't execute) - for every 1 contract spread require $500 margin and breakeven at $495.53/$551.30 with 70% to collect profit (if it close at current price $503.30 then Time Premium is worth $5.32 on $510 strike to collect). I expect $510 will be worth less since there are two events this week with potential $20 range movement and expect to close near or above $520 area.

OTM - bought CALL $510/$515 vertical spread for $1.95/ $1.80 (yesterday)/$1.60 with average cost $1.79 (potential max profit 179%). I'm thinking to sell $525/buy $530 for at least $.50 extra credit (current spread worth $.50 to $.58) to reduce my call spread to $1.29 or less, but will wait for it move higher before lock in this addition credit.

APPL
I closed all the previous trades when it fall below $501 for a total lost of $400 plus commission.

This expired on 09/13
I have an open backspread (buy 1/sell 2) CALL since yesterday Bought $475 / Sold $480 for net credit $.08 with max profit $499.92 per contact. Breakeven above $484.92. current unrealize gain over $600.

This morning Sold $465 PUT for $2.40 closed at $.70 within 30 minutes for profit $1.7*10= $1,700

Also current open COST expired tomorrow

BOUGHT $120 PUT/SOLD $119 for net debit $.45 since yesterday. This morning sold double $118/bought $117 for each spread $.19 net credit to bring the total cost to $.07 for max profit of 1,328.57% if tomorrow close between $118 - $119. If I wait until now then it will be a total credit.

***CLOSED $118/$117 at $.08 so my cost for $120/$119 spread is $.23 ($.45 - $.11*2) just in case it drop below $118, as long as it trade below $119 then my max profit is 334.78%. Just to be safe since last time after the run up then it drop more than a week after that. Depend on the direction tomorrow as if it drop below $118 then I may start sell $117/buy $116 PUT within 5 minutes after the market open to collect maximize the time value.

I still have AAPL $475/$480 open since it was free with net credit $.08 and guarantee profit as long as tomorrow it trade below $484.92.

VISN - Votalitiy of this stock is double digit daily. If you happy with more than 10% profit then trade this stock. HS kids currently in competition until December bought this stock less than 2 weeks ago gain over 100%. My daughter is in this competition. I notice they trade buy or short the follow stocks AAPL and , NFLX, SINA, FB, ESBA (I definitely short this one was above $80 on 10/10 & current trade under $13), TNA, TZA, FAS, FAZ, DUST, NUGG, etc.

One investor bought 2.2K contracts NOV CALL $10 for a total $121K for breakeven at $10.55. So to be safe I bought 1K shares and sold 10 contracts of DEC CALL $10 for the cost of $8.17 per share or 11% below the market value. If by DEC the shares trade above $10 (very high chance) then the shares will be pull from me with guarantee 22.4% profit ($1.83*1K = $1,830 for 9 weeks). This trade is an Income test and will be use in the future for large amount with consider minimal risk. Set stop lost at $8.25 (still profit $80 to cover commission).

I have open for this week
CALL: AAPL, TZA, FAZ, & NUGT
PUT: FAS, TNA, & DUST
Short VISN (Do not trade if you can't handle double digit lost). When it high I sold, when it low I bought. Today gain more than 20% before it pull back.

I bet the market will be pulling back this week (I hope for 5%).

I forget the sybmol is GTAT for 2.2K contracts (If you buy shares and sell options today then your cost is average $7.9 ($8.55 share -$.65 contract), which 3.42% cost less than mine.

I have open for this week
CALL: AAPL (Yesterday closed all CALL on the morming bought PUT before the event at 1 PM lock in over 100% for 1/2 still hold, Bought call this morning and will sell around resistance area if it get there- support $508/resistance $528 - expect it will pull back to $501 or $502 area before the earning next week), TZA, FAZ, & NUGT (closed this yesterday)/Add DUST
PUT: FAS, TNA, & DUST (closed this yesterday)/Add NUGT

Short VISN (Do not trade if you can't handle double digit lost). When it high I sold, when it low I bought. Today gain more than 20% before it pull back.

I bought NOV16 52.5 / Sold NOV01 $55.5 for $1.63

By the way one investor purchased 60K contracts NOV16 $70/$75 for debit $.18 last within 2 weeks.

NVGN is a HOT BUY

APPL bullish / so far so good since it drop around $10 - $12, but currently negative under $1:

Sold NOV01 / Bought Nov 08
CALL $565 @ $3.65 / $575 @ $3.75 for $.10 debit
PUT $510 @ $8.40/ $505 @ $7.60 for $.80 credit

PUT $525 @ $16.50 / $520 @ $16.65 for $.15 debit

Sold NOV01 / Bought JAN 2014
PUT $535 @ $18 / $500 @ $18.60 for $.60 debit

I will have two winner in green as both PUT/CALL expire this week worthless & $525/520 will be looking for profit around $5 and Jan 2014 will be more than $5 (this is my last trades of the 4 within 1 hr of the close of business).

Friday, after I bought cover VISN, then I bought VISN and sold it today as high as 16%, but most within +8%. I short it again within 10 minutes before the close (so far with unrealize lost 1.29%). I noticed the last 11 trading days (including today), all Monday are up, TUE to WED with the trend slightly down, but THU/FRI are down. VISN operate mostly with CASH, but there is a problem that they acquired a company but failed to pay and currently owned 3X of their current cash access as result lost in court as the Judge order them to pay up, but they cash are in CHINA. For unknown reason the stock popped up to couple hundred % on 10/14 then 10/15, so I expect they will be falling right back to where it start under $2. I'll stop trading them when it drop to around $2 or below area. This Friday if it still trade $4 or $5 area, then I will buy to cover and buy addition to catch a rebound on Monday then short after that like aforementioned.

I also short NVGN at $5.81 and the last minute increase so much with current unrealize lost at 7.40%.

Skie,
Hope you get FB is up 16%. Just follow the big fish as they really know the direction of the stock.

After I closed 1/2 FB & will buy back $55.5 as needed, let see if it hit $65, $70, & $75 by Nov 15 for the big fish.

I will deal with KORS bullish earning report next week - big fish is bullish. I'm thinking go with combination SELL PUT $77 / BUY $79 NOV 08 for with credit, but require $1.7K for each contract with margin. If not then I will either vertical spread or calendar spread.

Short NVGN (5.37% unrealized gain), SR (8.57%), VISN (8.78%).

One big fish is on GE JAN 2014 CALL for over 14.5K contracts (ASK price).

Big fish (unusual volume by one investor) :!: - invest no lest than $1/2 MIL, & I only follow A $MIL and up. If one or more investors are willing to risk a MIL or more each on a single stock, then I will definitely willing to risk couple hundred .

Not yet Winner. I haven't seen enough justification in the price action to buy into the unusual options activity.

It looks like you bought NOV16 52.5 or the week 2 NOV call and sold the 1st week NOV call (NOV01) for 2013?

I priced it currently at 1.25. If you bought at 1.63, isn't that an unrealized loss?

FB turn out not so great, but I was lucky enough to lock in some profit (16%) that I sold at $1.90 on Friday when FB reach $52 and let $55.50 expire worthless.

I'm taking a bullish on APPL (expect it not going to drop below $520 area), so I buy PUT NOV 15 $510 / Sell NOV 08 $520 for $1.10 credit for breakeven at $512.
