TSP Center

I am considering opening a brokerage account to trade ETF's. The ETF's I plan to focus on are those closely associated with our TSP funds, to include the short ETF's.

Looking for others who are currently doing this and what they recommend. My goal is to start with a small starting balance to keep risk at a minimum.

I appreciate any thoughtful insights you may have.

1.a. Am not familiar with the Short ETFs available, but the following ETFs are comparable to the corresponding TSP Funds (comparable in investment strategy & returns):

AGG - similar to F Fund
SPY - similar to C Fund
VXF - similar to S Fund
EFA - similar to I Fund

b. NOTE: The website http://www.etfscreen.com/ is very useful for ranking/comparing relative strength factors and returns for most/all of the currently available ETFs. It's also useful simply to get a handle on just what ETFs (all types) currently exist out there.
