Good Afternoon,
In the near future, I may have to leave federal employment (VA) due to family. I have a couple of questions:
1) Once in civilian employment, would I still be able to deposit funds into my TSP?;
2) Would I be able to change my TSP selection in order to follow my strategy?
I am hoping to transfer to another VA but am not sure if that will happen in time.

2) Yes.
Think hard before you quit. Situations arise, change, subside. Can the family come to you? What other assistance is available to them without you being there? How long a time period will this situation last?

Won’t be able to deposit from payroll, but rollovers from 491s and IRAs are OK
