Great read on bubbles

Post by cswift01 »

We try to spot them, we enjoy popping them and gum makes the visual that more fun.

It is a good read, although, I don't think too many people are great at forecasting them:

Enjoy!

Interesting read my friend, some over my head but the talks about cryptocurrency were educational.

I particularly enjoyed the crypto conversation. Glad to see that this helped more people than just me. :D

On a side note, I also enjoyed the guy talking about the idea that people gravitate to different equity classes when the bubbles burst. He said it takes about 5 years for people to become comfortable with that class of equity again. That explains why the last bubble was primarily bank related and the one beforehand was technology. He pointed to the cryptos being the new one. If you take Shiller's words to be the most important, then cryptos would certainly fit the bill. I guess we'll see.

Enjoy your weekend! Hopefully we'll find another batch of pics to upend this forum.

That was a good read. Other good ones on bubbles and their aftermath are:

"Devil Take the Hindmost" by Edward Chancellor
"The Great Depression: A Diary" by Benjamin Roth
