China may be interesting in years to come but the I Fund doesn't include China.

China doesn't have to be in the I fund to adversely affect the I fund with it's slowing economy; it will affect the C fund too. If China's economy tanks, it will depress the rest of the world's economies.

Agreed. I saw a graph at Fidelity showing that China often goes into recession before the US. That should be a warning for us.
