Everyone dumping to G fund

Post by JasonZepp »

Is there a reason everyone is dumping everything into the G fund? The allocations list usually fits on one screen but today's list is huge and is almost all G fund. Is there something different today from the past few weeks?

Noticed the same thing right before 1200 hour, I took it as a snowball effect. A few folks jumped in triggering those watching to jump in and so forth. The market looks a little shaky unless you are all in S ( ) - but I'm watching the high rollers and they are in S/C so that is where I will stay until I get my 2% this month.

It might be, but about a third moved before the Guru.
I think the Guru has a system of crondanet5 + a week.
And Cron's system is Navig8tor + 1 day la8er.
And my system is a Moving Average of all of em, multiplied by a quantity which, when multiplied by, divided by, and added to, gives a factor for best IFTs.

A lot of the daily seasons go to "F" around the 18th of this month.

There is also the buy the rumor and sell the news theory considering a lot of cooperate earnings reports will be reported the last week of July.

Most of the popular Monthly Seasonal strategies go "F" for Aug and Sept.
I am just an average Joe. I have no clue to what the market will do.

Why isn't yesterdays pending allocations updated?

And it's not just the list. My change didn't happen and now I'm in the wrong fund.

I went into G Wednesday to lock in 3.66 gains for July. I entered 6-29 and exit 7-18. I mostly follow Jahbulons monthly seasonal Mix but I decided to get out early to lock in gains. F is supposed to be target Fund but I have been feeling more comfortable with G last year or so.

I think it is because many of the TSPCALC.COM strategies switched to the G fund. I've been watching how many members here are making a change to a fund and on a date that my strategy calls for and I see maybe 75 or so that I think are using a similar strategy. Here's how I can test that theory:

I for one am currently doing "follow the leader" with the Guru, with great success, but its risky I'll admit.

For those of us who do want to FTL, here's a suggestion: would it be feasible to have the fantasy IFT cutoff earlier than the real cutoff? This would allow the leaders to continue to lead (they tend to make last minute moves), but allow us time to update our real TSP to follow them more easily.
