Years ago, my advisor recommended to allocate funds into the C, S and I to reduce serious loss if there is a significant downturn in one of those funds (60% C, 30% S and 10% I) and just leave it there. This was about 15 years ago and I did not listen after the 2008 trainwreck. The leaders here generally just put it all, meaning 100%, into the S or C for the most part. Seems risky. I am going to try that 60,30,10 allocation for a bit this month to see how it does but I'm sure I will begin to transfer some around when things get messy. Does anyone have any advice on this topic? Thanks
MMART17, I remember what you mentioned a few weeks back, and thanks for your input!!

Good Luck in whatever you choose to do...it is hard to predict markets under current administration.

I see 60 C ,30 S, 10 I, as an "all in play". Which may be as good a strategy as any providing I had 7 or more years before retirement to rebuild if needed.
