Sharing websites
Dear all,
As I'm always looking at market analysis and I'm continually finding great websites. I've been building a "personal" list of locations that I like to visit, but I was wondering if maybe we could share as a community. What I'm hoping to do is to share together so we can all make the most efficient decisions possible. These are my websites (in no order):
TSP
tspcenter.com
tspallocation.com
tspcalc.com
Market analysis
http://www.forecasts.org/index.htm
https://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Category:Index_returns (index comparisons)
Seekingalpha.com
cnbc.com
investing.com
marketwatch.com
https://us.spindices.com/spiva/#/
paulmerriman.com
Evaluate funds
https://www.portfoliovisualizer.com/bac ... sisResults (this is my favorite one)
Using tools from TDAmeritrade and Vanguard (Vanguard also shows the after tax differences)
https://markets.ft.com/data/funds/us/compare (for whatever reason, I get different results from porfoliovisualizer)
Please add with additional suggestions.
Thanks!

Re: Sharing websites
Wow that’s some good stuff and great tools. Thanks for the links! I can see that portfolio backtester tool coming in handy.
Re: Sharing websites
I like equityclock.com. It's very seasonally focused, whether on sectors of the market (energy, manufacturing, healthcare, etc), indexes, or individual stocks. I've found their charts and analysis to be pretty spot on.

Re: Sharing websites
I played around with their site. With the exception of being able to see which industries/sectors, etc. usually operate best from a seasonal point of view, do they give any up to date market analyses or prognosticate (for free)?Aitrus wrote:I like equityclock.com. I like something called FINVIZ

Besides having a good Search Engine that drills across several of the top Financial Websites for breaking headlines, it also offers a powerful Query Capability to construct Stock Searches for added Technical Analysis...

Here is a site that I get updates from: http://www.tspwealth.com/index.html.
Re: Sharing websites
I have viewed a few of the recommended sites mentioned above before and still find this one more valuable or suitable for me. Maybe because I'm more familiar here. I love the input and the advice on tspcenter. It's not so serious and I can appreciate the wisecracks which makes this fun. Tomi, keep up with your pull charts because I feel like I got a big pull today buddy. More of a dry stroke if you catch my drift. Good luck everyone and hoping this year ends well for us.
Re: Sharing websites
That they do. On the main landing page, scroll down and you'll see daily "Stock Market Outlook" posts. Each post starts out with a bunch of charts for companies entering their period of seasonal strength or that are reporting earnings, but once you're past those you get to the meat of the article. Some days have more commentary than others.cswift01 wrote:I played around with their site. Here's tomorrow's discussion, for example, which is a little light on commentary: http://www.equityclock.com/2018/11/08/s ... er-9-2018/
The post for today, however, had a bit more given the election results and all: http://www.equityclock.com/2018/11/07/s ... er-8-2018/

I meant to also throw this one:
https://simplywall.st (it's easy to sign up)
and
https://money.usnews.com/funds/search?e ... funds=true (although I think these guys get paid by some of the big companies to put their funds first)

Re: Sharing websites
It is interesting that they compare their returns to what they call "buy and hold", which is a 20-20-20-20-20 G-F-C-S-I spread. I literally don't know anyone who has that distribution.misfit wrote:I ran across this one a few months back.

Their returns haven't been bad. I did a quick 2008-2017 comparison to 100% C and 100% S (average annual return)-
thrifttrading: 10.03%
100% C: 10.45%
100% S: 11.86%
