Re: TSPKey's FantasyTSP Account
I am 55 years old and right now invest 6% per year. I am planning on down sizing soon but will work till I am 65 to 70. Presntly I approximately have only 12,000 but want to save 10 to 15% a year. I want to maximize the amount of interest I am making on my money. I noticed that you have some great returns. Do you have monthly fees that can come out of a direct payment?

fletman you need to save more than 15% to have a healthy financial retirement. Can you handle 30%? Open a taxable brokerage account and stuff it full of money. For starters consider Baron Growth Fund. After you get going, private message me and I'll suggest some other funds for you to diversify your holdings.

Crondanet5,
Who has 30% to save? Also you say "taxable brokerage account". Are you really serious? Why would anybody not take advantage of the max allowable plus the catch-up amount of non-taxable first? Especially at my age.
