What is less funny is that people suffering from syphilitic dementia often mix up place names. For example, when one says "Greenland", they may actually be referring to "The Sudentenland".

"Trump sees purchasing Greenland as equivalent to the 1867 U.S. acquisition of Alaska. Interest in Greenland is not unprecedented. In 1917 Denmark sold off the then Danish West Indies islands for $25 million to the United States, which renamed them the United States Virgin Islands. In 1946, the U.S. offered to buy Greenland from Denmark for $100 million, but the Danish government refused to sell. The Wall Street Journal reported that the State Department also inquired about purchasing Greenland and Iceland from Denmark in 1867."

Somehow, this time seems different.

Trump just put off a meeting with Denmark because they won’t talk about selling Greenland
