Looking at iShares MSCI EAFE Index (EFA) on yahoo, I fund is up 1.78% as of 1:22pm EST. I requested my interfund transfer, to 100% G, this morning as I saw the funds were way up. If the estimated + 2.55% comes to fruition, it'll help me get back some $ I lost on some bad trading decisions.

Now, what does everybody think about 9/9/2008??? Do you guys/gals think we'll have another positive day?? I will be disappointed that I moved to 100% G today if the market is way up again tomorrow.

The percent change in the EFA won't help you much estimating the EAFE actual closing price. Use http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/quote?ticker=EFD:IND. The closing price for EAFE is usually posted by 2:30 pm. at the MSCI EAFE site (http://www.mscibarra.com/products/indices/stdindex/performance.html) = up 3.00%

The closing price for the I-Fund today is expected to be as follows base on the data from EAFE at 2:30 pm

Yeah... myself and others as well.... The S&P 500 futures is currently showing an increase of .41%... But, it was showing the same last night for today. Hopefully, with today huge drops, we'll see some rebound. With three trading days remaining in the week, it'll be nice to see the markets up for the week. After today's losses, it'll be tough.

Not quite as expected but anything helps!

Amazingly, the S fund managed to break even for the week. With a 3.82% drop on Tuesday, I missed this opportunity for this gain by two days. Of all my allocations, there is a trend in my trades: I'm always off by two days. LOL In one trade, the one before my last one, I purposely delayed it by two days and it was right on target. Perhaps I just start holding off two days from when I want to make them and see how it goes.

Next week should be extremely interesting. With the Feds meeting and Lehman issue hanging over the weekend, it could be very bad or turn out pretty good. I've been hearing rumors that the Feds may drop rates again which may help the I fund (the I fund was up over 2% today). Is it time to move back into the I fund? I still have 1 IFT left for the month -- besides any moves to the G fund. With 12 trading days left this month, I'd like to use it wisely. Have a great weekend everyone!! 8)
