Re: Seasonal Calculator Confusion
You move into the S Fund on 14th trade day (this does not include weekends or holidays) so that is why on the calendar it shows that the move is on May 18th which is the 14th trade day of the month.

Re: New Website Status & Bug Reports
I am still thankful for both the TSPcenter and TSPcalc sites. For me, the last 2-3 years of watching the stock market has sucked the life out of me to a curtain degree. I still use TSPcenter to keep a daily/weekly eye on my own TSP account ... especially since the TSP.GOV website made its new change...

Re: Best monthly winning streak
163188 has a high STD though! I like the minimal losses per month (hardly any red and the down months are muted). I'm surprised the STD is so high given that monthly drawdowns are so low. Would be nice to keep the low monthly losses and lower the STD. I too don't care about super high returns. I ju...

Maybe, just maybe there is a reason Senator Rand Paul doesn't want people to get vaccinated ... just maybe

Re: Executive Order on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees
[On a positive note, if you get injured from the vaccine, as a federal employee you have good insurance available (still have to pay premiums, deductibles & such but all FEHB plans have a maximum annual out of pocket limit) and if it is severe, there is always medical disability where you get pa...

Re: TSPCalc strats & The L Income Fund
bloobs - It is hard to change my mindset, but I am trying to transition into a safety-first mode over a consistent (Std Dev), high risk, high return mode. At this point, I am more concerned about the lack of negative monthly returns and I am not concerned about where the Std Dev falls (sorry). Out o...

Re: TSPCalc strats & The L Income Fund
My attitude toward an L fund (blend/mix fund) have changed over the years. If you are shooting for 20-30% yearly returns and do not mind the risk, a blended fund is probably not in your cards. After recrunching my numbers earlier this year, if I hit 10-15% returns for the next 5 years, I will be in ...

Re: New website is not popular
Just wondering for the graph on the Fantasy page, is it possible for the graph to open up on the last tab a person looked at? It always opens to YTD, but during the month I would rather see the MTD graph and I am always switching.

Re: New website is not popular
I like the addition of "Live Chatrs" on every page idea. I don't see it on the Fantasy tab, is that possible or not enough room?

Re: New website is not popular
People don’t handle change well. Some just don’t want to invest the time in learning something new. If they didn’t keep up with the “New Website Status & Bug Reports “forum they missed a lot of information. There might be issues that people are not sure if it is the website or an operational err...

Re: Inquiring Minds, what’s your strategy?
In the beginning of the year I started out following #117868, but after the poor performance of the F fund in Jan, I decided to roll the dice and just stay in the S fund for month of Feb. The model that I will follow now is #142409 … I place more importance on years after 2012, not worrying too much...
