Re: Back to the S Fund?

FYI - Previously in this thread, KTSPcalc stated, as follows: "The S fund has peaked at $84+ 4 times this year and dropped back down to a low of $77+ the first 3 times. February 12 - $84.72 (dropped back to $77.38 on March 4) March 15 - $84.15 (dropped back to $77.51 on March 24) Apri 29 - $84....

Re: Back to the S Fund?

Of course, the million dollar question is when has it reached its bottom? I assume that greater mathematical minds than mine have an educated guess when he correction will bottom out...

Re: Back to the S Fund?

Is it just me or does buying the S Fund dip look tempting?

Re: Soooo....

While 18% is not bad, I (and I assume many others) am doing much better than 18% by following our chosen seasonal strategies. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for his TSP advice......

Re: Back to the S Fund?

I say that I was sure it would drop more than .19% today. Clearly I was wrong. Clearly, I have no idea what the heck I'm doing.....

Re: Back to the S Fund?

Always dangerous, but my gut tells me the same thing. As I write this, S Fund currently is up .83% today. I'll monitor for a drop the rest of today and until almost 1100 CST tomorrow. Otherwise, as much as I hate it, I'm going to watch from the sidelines for a bit longer (not unlike my past days as ...

Re: Back to the S Fund?

I share the same concerns, Chulke. When S Fund dropped last week, I anticipated that a tomorrow move to S Fund would be timely and profitable. Now, due to the unexplainable exuberance this week, I'm not so sure. It seems counter-intuitive, but the more educated I become about the market, the more &q...

Re: Back to the S Fund?

Thx to both for your response. I am particularly intrigued by those numbers, KTSPcalc. At least I feel better with something objective on which to base my current feelings/decisions, in addition to my seasonal strategy, other than my "gut". We all know where "gut" decisions often...

Back to the S Fund?

Like others, I left S Fund earler in the month and am glad I did, based on its current performance. However, I assume it will rebound soon. Any others thinking of going back to S Fund to catch the bounce? And, if so, when? Thx, and good luck to all.

Re: Nothing inspires confidence....

Thanks for the "funwithmath", KTSPcalc. I stayed in C and am glad I did. As we say in Arkansas, "Even a blind hog finds an acorn every once in a while". Also, glad that the divergence is not vastly different for those that did move to I or stay in S.
