Re: Stock-market expert sees a ‘monstrous’ rally taking hold
I’m in agreement. Good rally coming up from a lot of the under performers, but there’ll probably be a decent pullback first in the next few days. I’m waiting on that before jumping back in.

Even if the numbers are correct, there's a flaw in the reasoning - and it has direct effect on the economy (especially the healthcare sector). Up until now, the vast majority of the people who are dying of COVID-19 are either a) the elderly or b) people who had some other health issue that compromi...

Would be glad to take any of that spare cash lying around. Nah. I’d just probably spend it.scrlk wrote:No. I’m in S at 51.5 and I’ll be there until mid 40s at least. This market is nuts. With that said, I have spare cash lying around and hope it tanks so I can make some quick cash.

Re: Weather the storm?
I am going to jump back in at some point, and be a net buyer over time. If you can mitigate some loss by getting out, it might not be a bad idea. Then again if you are all in you can ride it down, and then dollar cost average your way back up. The main goal at the end of the day is to increase your...

Re: Sort of a fun visual... % to a Million.
Just some food for thought for ya'll who are feeling discouraged. I started TSP in the fall of 2003. I was told to leave it in the G and not mess with it. Put in at least 5% and never look at it again. For so long I had no clue what I was doing, and was scared to look at it or mess with it too much...

Re: Is the market topping? Think of moving back from S to G
When we are looking at the chart, we look for a number of indicators rather than just one. RSI and MACD with ADX are the widely used ones. Don’t forget that if the TSI and 30 day RST intersect, then you’ll have to calculate in the moving 200 MACD and melting candles also. Except if you’re following...

Re: Is the market topping? Think of moving back from S to G
Based on the chart, the RSI of SPY was just coming off from the oversold territory (not a good signal) today. The MACD is about to have the death cross. Any chart guys would like to comment? Yes. I believe it was a device used for crucifying criminals at one time. Used widely during the Roman era.

Does the “S” Stand for Something Special?
The S fund must be something special indeed, as so many folks are moving there lately.

Pros and Cons: Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Installments?
Hi All, I’ll be retiring in little over a year, and been wondering about which installment option to make when I’m ready to dip into my TSP. I know a lot has to do with personal situation, but that aside, am wondering about any advantages or disadvantages the available installment options have. Anyo...
