TSP Loan changes
So with the changes to TSP.gov there seem to have been some changes to the TSP loan. Paper checks and vouchers for additonal payments are no longer needed, now you can make additional payments via your debt card, which is a nice upgrade. But you don’t seem to able to remotize your loan like you once...

GRIPE OF THE DAY: Get an email from TSP asking to call them as they have important infomation for me. Now I have to sit on hold for 90 minutes listening to evevator music. If its “that important” why not email me with the 4-1-1, instead of emailing me, asking me to call you, when you know your wait ...

I may be late to the party, but can you unpack the buy/sell line?
Is that showing when people are doing said activity, or when you should?

Re: So you hate the new website...
The TSP loan thing feels like one step forward, and two steps back IMHO.
Can’t reamortize the loans anymore, but you can finally make payments via a debt card without using that voucher system.

So I recently looged into my real TSP and noticed the suspension of certain transactions, like modifying TSP loan repayments, and they are no longer accepting additional payments to any TSP loan using the mailed in voucher? What’s going on with TSP? Seems like alot of changes are afoot! https://www....

2022 TSP- Go Wrong- Stay Wrong?
So I was trying not to ride the wave (short term earrings) but now I’m stuck in the deeply negative category. Do I cut ties and eat the loss, or ride it out and continue buying shares on the cheap?

Re: Paying off your mortgage early
We did the same, sold in Oregon and moved out to Florida. Getting off the left coast was the best move for me and my family. Both quality of life and financially speaking. The south east has alot of people moving here from liberal cities and states, escaping the high crime and even higher tax rates....

Re: Paying off your mortgage early
I forgot to update this thread, but this is what ended up transpiring. I did move forward with a refinance, went from a 30 year down to a 20 year, and got my interest rate reduced from 3.385% down to 2.375%. In addition to the refinance, I’m paying an extra $300 per month on the loan, so the house w...

So why the steady valleys and then peaks that jump up periodically? Yesterdays jump, and the few that happen before it have me scratching my head. Why a single day spike, then just to die off and continue declining?
