Buying the Dip

Did any of you buy the recent dip? I did but I'm back out at the close today. Just don't like what I'm seeing in the near future. The DWCPF is selling off again pretty good this afternoon. After all the headline news, we have to get back to basics - Valuations. They are still crazy high. Inflation has come down, but does not seem to be under control yet. No rate cuts are predicted any time soon. The NASDAQ and S&P signals remain bearish as you chart guys know. The current chart is extremely similar to the Feb 2025 peak which was followed by a dramatic drop. Check out that chart. The VIX MACD is moving back into the positive region which signals volatility. Watch the VIX. If we take out the Dec 17 market lows, big trouble. I feel the top is in, at least for the near future. What say you?

I hope not. We have the Fed next week and the CR expires at the end of the month. Generally Government Shutdowns don't have a significant long lasting impact. I think some things the current administrations is doing will have positive impact Many analyst think that there will be a major correction in 2026 but I really don't know.

When February comes around I will keep on some cash. Maybe 25 percent until around June. I think if Greenland tilts the right way it could have a positive impact on the market. Most of the year I will be bullish, or at least that's the plan.
