I have gone through the Game of Thrones series but see that was previously mentioned!

I would say "The Left Behind" series. It's a 16-book series (3 prequel, 13 main series) that dives into the book of Revelation in the Bible and kind of puts the ends times into a literally representation of how it could look leading up to and after the Rapture.

Awesome series I've read through twice over the years.

The list is updated. Great suggestions, guys.

I wasn't sure where to place the Bible - I've always considered it both a work of fiction and non-fiction. I went ahead and decided to avoid unnecessary arguing and leave it in the non-fiction section. We all have our opinions / beliefs on it, but I'd like to keep them out of this thread as much as possible. This thread is meant to be informational, not a platform for proselytization or religious debate. Feel free to start another thread for those discussions.

Also the “old” Tom Clancy novels, e.g.,

Patriot Games - 1987
Cardinal of the Kremlin - 1988
Clear and Present Danger - 1989
Sum of all Fears – 1991

Don't forget Without Remorse (1993)! Another one of my Tom Clancy favorites.
