TSP Seasonal Strategies
I'm sure questions on seasonal strategies have been asked many many times. I'm still relatively new and I'm just trying to gain some knowledge. What are some strategies that are being followed, success on them and where do you find Seasonal Strategies? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys for your time!
Re: TSP Seasonal Strategies
Hey, bowhunter.
A good start is to read the first dozen or so posts of my Seasonal Musings thread. That works well as a primer to help you understand the idea, as well as some one-move-a-month strategies you can think about using.
After that, you can look at tspcalc.com. There's a ton of various Mixes on that site that make full use of the 2 IFTs per month limit that TSP has. A lot of people here on the forums will mention the tspcalc.com strategy they are following - such as #85660 or something similar. Go to the site, look up the #, and see if you like the risk/reward ratio that it offers.

Re: TSP Seasonal Strategies
I was following 85660 not strictly, more as a guide, and it was good earlier this year when it missed the big drop in March. However since about mid August it has been underperforming compared to C and S.
