What leaderboard options do you want?

What leaderboard options do you want?
I'm considering getting rid of the 5,10,15,30 day leader board. Having pre-built options for:
Month-to-date (this month)
Last Month
Year-To-Date
2020
2019
2018
2017
2016
...etc to 2008
Is that enough?

Your options look fine, perhaps Quarterly to date as another option? Some people like to see that instead of last month.
Re: What leaderboard options do you want?
That is plenty. I personally like to see year to date...so what you have is more than enough for me.

Re: What leaderboard options do you want?
It would help to have a filter to show how long people had the same fantasy TSP account and without resetting it to 0. When people reset their fantasy TSP account, it can given them a higher position on the leader board than really earned. For example, people might have lost money in the big March 2020 drop, then reset to 100% S. They look great but doesn't account for all the losses in February - March.
Good luck with your TSP and retirement plans!

Looks good to me and I also think it would be good to have something that can expose false leaders.
Re: What leaderboard options do you want?
I kinda like the day leader board although I don't need to see the 5/10 days. I do like YTD + 30/90/180/360 days along with past years or something along those lines. I agree with others it would be nice to filter out the "False leaders". Maybe have the accounts (and new accounts) active for xxx amount of months in a row without a reset to qualify for leader board?

It would be great to have a 5 and 10 year average. It would be interesting to see who consistently does well.
Thanks for asking.

I don't care for those short time frames.
I agree with SeaWater in seeing resets.
I agree with Bubba also, would be nice but if you didn't want to, we could just look at their previous years to get an idea.

I was thinking the same thing. And people who have not been in the Fantasy longer than 5 or 10 years would not be on the list.Bubba wrote:It would be great to have a 5 and 10 year average. It would be interesting to see who consistently does well.

Re: What leaderboard options do you want?
I love, love this site. Thank you for teaching me. It would help to have a filter to show how long people had the same fantasy TSP account and without resetting it to 0. I search for accounts that are 10+ years; those are truly worth following. I really pay no attention to leaders that have less than a year on fantasy; i have to dig and sort them out. Could you have a column for years in fantasy on the leader section and I truly wish that the leader section showed pending contributions. I need that for my real TSP which doesnt follow my fantasy. The leaders do influence me when I am unsure in my real account. It saved me big in Feb-March 2020. Also wish that the FB seasonal could link to fantasy if one desired. Another option would be to show if fantasy mirrored or resembled their real tsp.

I also like ytd and past years returns

Your options look good to me.

Hi Matt, it would be cool if we could see tspcalc strategy # next to our user name on leader board or elsewhere on site.

Loved seawatcher, Bubba, amyblieve, and dseery comments. I use the leader board by "account balance". I didn't see that mentioned. The leader board by "number watched", I used in the beginning when I was studying tspcenter but havent looked at it in a long time. Thanks!

I like account balance. Generally larger accounts have longer history and provide more information in my opinion.
