How many of the leader boards

Post by DoubleTzz »

In Fantasey TSP how many of these leader boards really have what they say in the funds they say.

The Fantasy TSP starts everyone out with $100,000. So, the amounts you see is what they really have based on gains/losses. I was wondering if the Leader’s real world accounts had those same gains! That would be sweet.

Are you asking if their Fantasy TSP tracks their personal TSP account? If so I can answer what I do with my personal account. I keep 35% C 35% S and the last 30% tracks my fantasy TSP.

searight have you ever calculated how much money you did not make following your investment program? Take a look at how much McLovin has made, and when was his last IFT. You can do better. I want you to be a millionaire.

My real TSP was 66.92 % so I did much better than the fantasy... I got out in February in my real acct, jumping back in around April...I stayed in with the fantasy, took the hit and rode the wave back up.

That’s interesting! I was planning a similar strategy with different numbers.

So at each IFT you always used 30% following your fantasy. Then always kept CS 35% each.

If you don’t mind, what was your % gain.

My fantasy TSP is the same as my real TSP.

Many us agree’d (some time ago) that our Fantasy Allocations would reflect our real-world posturing. This would allow for followers to truly gauge as to what the leader’s were doin’ as to WHEN & WHY...

Best of Luck (everyone) in all you choose to endeavor!!!

Produceman, I was waiting for my annual statement so I used the right numbers. So I have 35% C, 35% S and 30% that gets moved correlating with my Fantasy account. In the data below I compare to what my gains would have been if I bought and held with 50% C and 50% S

Results are: CY2019 30.49% gain for my strat, C/S would have been 29.71%. For CY2020 27.20% gain for my strat, C/S would have been 25.16%. So my start is doing slightly better then a C/S buy and hold. So if I had moved my entire account to match my fantasy I would have gotten a higher percentage increase, but at higher risk of buying high and selling low.

Thanks Searight, 2 questions.

1 - Did you follow your strategy to the T except for the 70% in CS?

- If so, while following your strategy, did you always leave your CS at 35% each?
