Federal Holiday Tomorrow -- June 18th...

The President signed the bill to make June 19th (celebrated June 18th) a Federal Holiday. If you haven't gotten the word, many (all?) Federal Agencies will observe the holiday beginning tomorrow (Friday). Any word about the US Markets closing?

Just got an email stating for my Dept. of VA, "if you qualify you will get Holiday pay tomorrow". Have not heard about the markets yet.

It happened pretty fast. Currently in flight training and they had us scheduled to fly still until we mentioned the wing just sent an email today. Caught everyone off-guard.

So I was thinking, this is going to change the trading days in June (for next year) and mess with our strategies.

My agency had dispatch send out a voicemail message to everyone late last night, stating don't come in tomorrow as its a federal holiday unless you have authorization from your supervisor to work.

I wish I could get out of all my meeting this way, lol.

My question is: if I make an IFT before noon today, will it process today or next Monday?

To answer my own question, I just made an IFT and got the following confirmation: "You have a pending interfund transfer request that should be effective as of close of business 06/18/2021."

I moved into the G-Fund the other day, I had a feeling this was coming . . . (not the holiday, that came out of no where as I wasn't watching the news)
