Back to the S Fund?

Re: Back to the S Fund?
I was supposed to go from F to S last Friday, but decided to hold off and watch from the sidelines. I reflected over the weekend on how my gut is generally terrible (which is why I started doing seasonal in the first place) and decided to get back on the program. I IFT'ed to S today; a day later than my plan wanted. I am sure we'll see if that was a good idea or not sometime this week.

but currently S Fund is at a new ATH....that's never where I want to buy in at....Will it make a new high...tomorrow, or a week from now? Perhaps, but I think overwhelmingly it tends not to do so...there's usually a pull back first and with the current exuberance any negative could lead to an accelerated and protracted downside....And I would rather miss the pullback and then ride the retrace back upwards....So I'll stay vigilant for that and wait for a good entry point.
I agree with this. I missed the dip, but I missed the upswing too. I really thought it would go down more. Rather than follow my plan, I will wait until I see a solid buy opportunity. (Always one waiting around the corner). My plan has me in C Fund on the 1st but I think common sense should be strongly considered.
Cheers!
Re: Back to the S Fund?
Now my strategy call for me to jump to C fund today...yet here we are again at near ATH's and I find myself questioning if that's a good move...
I've been through this roller coaster in the past and something is telling me we are just one news article, or one tweet away from a 5-10% correction across the board, all markets!
IDK!

- The market is ALWAYS "one news article, or one tweet away from a 5-10% correction"
- It is also "one news article, or one tweet away from a 5-10%" bull run
There is nothing new here. We cant control these forces that dictate these moves--but WE CAN CONTROL OUR EMOTIONS that influence our decisions.

Agreed!...But when markets are at ATH's one has reason to be cautious...are you willing to reimburse my losses if I xfer into the given fund per the strategy?
No? That's what I thought...(not trying to be a jerk, just stating the obvious) Investing IS a personal choice/decision and opinion, and this one is mine!
ATH's are no place to buy in at, just my opinion, that's how bull traps are created...The market just seems to keep making new highs and it's irrational at best!
Can't bring myself to buy in just to catch the flop and head down that 5-10% correction! And with my luck, that's exactly what would happen...in fact, I think I've stated that many times on here how the market always heads down the day after I initiate a xfer into a given fund....not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but too many times I've lost tons of money like this, it always seems to be me! Not gonna happen this time!
I'll wait!

Re: Back to the S Fund?
Wells Fargo announced they are ending personal lines of credit, even though it will impact consumers credit scores. I find that a bit odd.

Is it just me or does buying the S Fund dip look tempting?
Re: Back to the S Fund?
Of course, the million dollar question is when has it reached its bottom? I assume that greater mathematical minds than mine have an educated guess when he correction will bottom out...

Re: Back to the S Fund?
FYI - Previously in this thread, KTSPcalc stated, as follows:
"The S fund has peaked at $84+ 4 times this year and dropped back down to a low of $77+ the first 3 times.
February 12 - $84.72 (dropped back to $77.38 on March 4)
March 15 - $84.15 (dropped back to $77.51 on March 24)
Apri 29 - $84.81 (dropped back to $77.80 on May 12)
June 11 - $85.05 - - heading back down now.
I don't do (or really understand) technical analysis (which is why I follow seasonal here), but it seems like we have a ceiling for support around $84 and a floor around $78."
