Aftermarket price action can tell you a lot about the next day. Notable tonight is the lack of divergence on the new high which might suggest there are more reserves in the tank to get us over the 200 SMA and then some...

Yes indeed. Normally the Hanging man candle is bearish when red. But it can be bullish when green. Todays hanging man candlestick looks similar to the one on March 21, 2022. Price is above the 50 SMA (bold yellow line) but just under the 200 SMA (Blue line). The 50 EMA (yellow line) is swinging upwards towards the 50 SMA poised for a bull cross. RSI/MACD also look similar.

Price getting back above the 200 SMA (397.19) by noon is an important milestone

That may (or may not) happen, though market recovery (thus far) today off it’s low is rather encouraging’, lot’s of good news (Earnings, Inflation Read, etc…) should serve as positive catalyst(s) short-term…

The Fed does not want a melt-up at this point (or ever for the matter). The market makers and bigtime traders know this and are manipulating price action accordingly--at dumb money's expense.
