Bias is Bullish. Now the question is can it hold the 50 EMA? If it holds it will make a second run tomorrow morning for the 50 SMA. If not, expect a GAP down tomorrow towards 377 before it makes another run at the 50 SMA. As long as it stays above 375 we remain Bullish.
Bias is Bullish. It is holding above the 50 EMA. This morning it broke through and closed at 11:30am above both the 50 SMA (solid yellow line) and the Standard Deviation (dashed grey line). Then after noon it pulled back for a few hours to close at 3pm above yesterday's Half Candle Retracement (HCR dotted orange line) to make a Higher Low. If it holds above the HCR in the aftermarket expect a third run tomorrow towards the 50 SMA and the Standard Deviation. As long as it stays above 379 we remain Bullish.

Small Caps are on a tear. Why you think? And is it a sign of what's to come for the S&P 500?

Bias is Bearish: BOOM it broke below 379 right at the close 4pm. Unfortunately, it couldn't hold the HCR during premarket and it was all downhill from there. But a rally afterhours is very possible, otherwise it is heading back down to the MEAN (369). As long as it stays below 382 we remain Bearish.

Bias is Bullish: This morning it broke above 382 at the open. As long as it stays above the 50 SMA (383) we remain bullish.

Bias is Bullish. It is still holding above the +one-half Standard Deviation (dashed grey line). As long as it holds above the 385 we remain bullish.

Update: Bias is Bullish. Today price fell below 385 a couple times and is now back above it in the afterhours as of 9pm. Don't be surprised if the Algos push up the price to lure in the bulls - and surge to the +1 Standard Deviation and 200 EMA (currently at 403) or possibly higher to the 200 SMA (currently at 409). But it could very well be a TRAP! The VIX is signaling a reversal anytime now. For the moment as long as it holds above 385 we remain bullish.

What about the VIX is suggesting a reversal?

The VIX on a 30 min chart often diverges prior to making a reversal upwards. I have drawn the divergence lines in yellow: See how the VIX values are falling (lower lows) while the RSI lows are rising (higher lows). It is once again diverging since Oct 25th. But I have no idea when exactly it is going to finish diverging and reverse or how big a reversal it will be. When it reverses it may want to retest the Oct 12 high.

Bias is Bearish. POW! It was swift reversal at 2:30pm. Next stop down would be a re-test of the MEAN at 368. As long as we remain below 385 we remain bearish.
