Technically speaking, this new website is leaps and bounds ahead of the old one. It is responsive (meaning mobile-friendly), uses javascript to update data tables and graphs without reloading the page, and runs on php 7.
However, many, MANY complaints about general aesthetics and user friendliness.
The intent has always been to merge tspcalc and tspcenter. I hired a design firm to build out a new design forum, which I am supposed to be adding the seasonal and fantasy logic to. I haven't done my part yet. But the design and the forum is done.
You can take it for a test drive here. Note that this is a copy of the data from this website. Posts on the new website are not connected.

There is also a TSPcalc app which is in beta testing. I have it on my phone.

The TSP loan thing feels like one step forward, and two steps back IMHO.
Can’t reamortize the loans anymore, but you can finally make payments via a debt card without using that voucher system.

I have a general loan now, I am able to pay loan and make contributions, from paycheck. Were employees always able to do that?

TSPCENTER and TSPCALC are great. The new beta looks really good too.
The new TSP.GOV is pretty disappointing. At this point I prefer the old site. I hope they can fix it. I want the history and statements at least. What a screwed up rollout.

The new tspcenter is fine. Now the new tsp.gov, that's a disaster.
