Year end losses? gains?

Re: Year end losses? gains?
Ended out the year at 2.73% for my real tsp. I haven't tracked my TSP on this site. Spent one day in the I-fund on the first trading day of 2022 for a loss. Ended up spending the rest of the year in G. Never felt comfortable jumping in this year without seeing clear direction.
Good luck this year everyone!

Re: Year end losses? gains?
My TSP was up 2.85% YTD, starting 2022 in G. Don't sync my Fantasy. Did some contributions DCA into C/S resulting in a 93.70/3.63/2.26 (G/C/S). In Nov switched to G contributions. On the flip side, my brokerage account got taken to the woodshed and done up like the scene in The Evil Dead.
Q: Worth DCA into C/S right now, maybe just F? Worth switching a bit into F expecting fixed income to earn more than G?

Soooo. I really really hate the new TSP siteharpole wrote: ↑Sun Jan 01, 2023 10:34 pm My real TSP matches my TSP fantasy. Still kicking myself for not getting out when up 20%, but overall happy with my results for the year. I tried the buy and hold strategy for a few months, but changed course once we had another bear market rally. (That 20% loss was hard to take...) I'm also worried about a long term bear market and think it's best to take any gains when possible..

Note to self: Make sure to enter 100% for each fund in Step#1 of Move Money Between funds!!

So I only had minimal exposure in the I fund recently!! I'm so pissed. That site is beyond horrible! I need to look at all my previous IFT/move money between fund actions, because its likely it does not match my fantasy account at all...

That has worked fine from meet too. My only issue was multiple "submit" steps. I initially thought I was finished after step 3.nweis wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 6:56 amI use the "Change your investment mix" option to move money between funds.harpole wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 1:10 pmSoooo. Re: Year end losses? gains?
I think that was the method I have used in the past, I think. However, why do they offer two methods for the same result? The Move money between funds sounds to me like the IFT (Intra-fund Transfer) from the old system... I don't know, I am just venting, sorry. Plus, the app is horrible. Tried to look into these transfer options, but it wouldn't allow me to navigate the screen/no scrolling.nweis wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 6:56 amI use the "Change your investment mix" option to move money between funds.harpole wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 1:10 pmSoooo. It seems the two new IFT options were implemented to solve a problem that didn't exist.12squared wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 10:29 amThat has worked fine from meet too. Yesterday's market action was like the water level at the beach before a tsunami, pulling the Buy & Holder's who had been just riding the waves out with it.
