I highly recommend these guys. Take a look at their free weekly podcast. I joined this past July and I’m very happy with them.

Re: Highly recommend
I stumbled upon this site just last week. I like the trend analysis and agree with the philosophy that watching price movements is key. I also find the Elliott wave analysis easier to understand than other places I've read about it.

I'd like to know what background do these guys have to make it worth paying them? What is their track record over a long period? Just watching their free videos now seems they are pretty defensive right now, just like everybody else. And while I agree it's time to be defensive, I've learned the market will do the opposite of what everyone thinks is going to happen just to make fools of everyone. So do they talk about the possible upside as well in their weekly analysis? Do they cover both sides?

No clue who runs this service.daemon wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 10:25 am I'd like to know what background do these guys have to make it worth paying them? What is their track record over a long period? From the empirical performance info they published, their TA methodology seems to work well in bad times (> 7% last year) but at the cost of muted performance during good times (< ~ 15% during the QE+ years).
I am intrigued by the idea that using this service's TA-based approach would be an ideal complement for the TSPCALC seasonal strategy I use for my TSP account--as some sort of check and balance.
That $250 annual fee is a bit steep but given most of us have mid-to-high 6 figure TSP balances (a few even more) its cost benefit equation does compute.
Re: Highly recommend
The yearly cost is equivalent to a change of 0.1% for a $250,000 balance. It's on par with the paid services offered at TSPtalk.
I recently subscribed at the monthly rate - $25 - just to see how they go week to week.

They have a facebook group, I've known about them for a while but since I don't really follow technical analysis, I haven't watched any of their videos.

Grow your TSP is a total scam website. There is no customer service phone number, no one to email. They don't tell you where to put your money when you get an account. The Q&A say its up to you to decide. Its a scam. I joined after watching the convincing youtube videos and immediately figured it out when I got an account. I'm P*ssed, canceled my account within 30 minutes and 2 days later can't figure out how to get my money back. What a waste. Don't waste your time on this site. Its a scam obviouslly.

Can you define what scam means to you?jedi757 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 10:40 am Grow your TSP is a total scam website. There is no customer service phone number, no one to email. What services exactly were you expecting to get, other than the services prominently and explicitly listed on the site?
Re: Highly recommend
I think the "Grow My TSP" guys mentioned something important recently. They are currently focusing on the F fund, which (according to my quick chart search) appears to have bottomed 5 months before the S fund did back in 2008/2009. Should we be looking more closely at the F fund? Perhaps the TSPCalc strategies that use to perform well with the F fund will again outperform those strategies that were changed to G fund.... Heck, the F fund has been in a bear market for over 2 years..

Re: Highly recommend
I listened to that as well. What I also got from that podcast is that they are holding off reconsidering the F fund as an alternate to the G fund until after confirmation that bond funds are again inversely correlated to the C/S/I funds, which has not been the case for over 12 months now.harpole wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 11:32 am I think the "Grow My TSP" guys mentioned something important recently. If you calculate the gains using allocations posted at https://growmytsp.com/our-allocations/
you may find that their yearly return was much less than 8%, but still much better than most of us did.

Re: Highly recommend
12 squared, I also calculated the gains and got about -1%. What did you get? I was glad to hear that you also did not get 8%.
Re: Highly recommend
-1.10% from 12/31/21 to 11/29/2022
-2.01% from 11/30/21 to 11/30/22 (1 year)
What is the source of your spreadsheet?
