TSPCalc

Post by SurelyJame »

I was checking out Tspcalc and did a search for the highest mean of 2023.

It reported strategy 92443 with the highest mean of 4.00%.

I then checked the mean of strategy 173584 and it reported 4.13%.

Am I missing something?

It's correct (if you are looking for the highest mean for 2023).

If you needed the highest mean for years prior to 2023, select a different year from the Start Year dropdown on the top left of the chart.

Yes, I was looking for the highest mean for 2023, but I don't understand why it's reporting 92443 has the highest mean when 173584 is higher (4.13%).

Oops sorry, and interesting catch. I cannot speak for MJ but my *guess* is that the sort/filter chart is reading from a different database table than the one showing details of a selected strategy--and that these two tables need to be reconciled.

You've stumbled upon my work in progress. I didn't think anyone would notice.

3-4 days ago I completely redesigned the backend of the "Seasonal Strategies" table to make it faster and also to make it keep itself up to date. I intentionally paused the self-update portion of the script because I wanted to watch new strategies be added to the queue table and then work through the self-update step by step while I monitored it.

It will be added once i work through this.

There you go!

After a new strategy is created for the first time, it will NOT be in the Seasonal Strategy table on that first page load. But I expect it will be calculated and added within 5 minutes, from now on.
