I just wanted to share my achievements with everyone and especially throw a shout out to Matt and TSPCalc. I started following TSPCalc in May 2019 with a total investment portfolio of about $360K (TSP + Fidelity). I've changed plans a few times as I've gained insight from the knowledge of others and from my many mistakes. As of today, I hit 101% return since May 2019. Thanks for creating all of this!

Re: Testimonial
Out of curiosity, which strategy did you follow?
Re: Testimonial
The very first strategy I followed was 7980. I chose it just because there was a large number of people following it and I was new to seasonals. I chose the next strategy based on the a minimum mean of 30% and 15% max Std Dev. I've since whittled it down to a mean above 20%, Std Dev at about 5%, and CSI% less than 51%. Currently, I'm in 167054. I chose that because of the limited exposure to the market (CSI at 45%).

I would also add that I made alot of mistakes early on. Market movements would influence me more than they should have. I've since learned to not deviate from my plan. EVERY time I did deviate from the plan I ended up losing.

Re: Testimonial
I've been testing, testing and testing different strategies. So far, I've found a good way to do things, but I think I need to test it for a couple of years.ubascuba wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 10:30 amThe very first strategy I followed was 7980. In one part of me, I'm thinking (ultimately) of going your direction. Getting a 20%+ return every year is very respectable with minimal loss. I'm being additionally cautious now, however, with the 3mvs10yr inversion. Hopefully it's a soft landing.
