I have not looked into this to much but, it seems like TSP is fixing some of the problems I was using against them to advocate for leaving the TSP. One was the pro-rata withdrawal system. I am not sure if pro-rata applies to regular withdrawals and not to RMD's. I still have 9 years before I retire. Something to look into...

Did you know that your Roth TSP balance is no longer subject to RMDs?
Beginning in 2024, RMD calculations will include only the traditional balance, and only distributions from the traditional balance will count toward satisfying the RMD amount. Distributions of Roth money won’t count toward satisfying your RMD because Roth money in your account isn’t subject to RMDs."
