C 0.048
S 0.079
I 0.054
Many index funds have lower expense ratios than the TSP. The only issue is that its quite expensive to maintain the MFW. Perhaps if they lower the cost of the MFW or the TSP keeps increasing their costs will putting more money into the MFW be interesting.

I know it is not a safe bet, but so far I have made a killing already.
So I have checked this fund out some and know a bit about BitCoin but not enough to make an informed decision on this fund...Is this rally BitCoin has been experiencing going to keep going all year? or is it pretty much done? I saw one article saying the so-called "experts" are expecting it to go as high $140K or as high as $350K....any truth in that? I guess its all speculative probably...

But I can't deny those gains for last year and so far this year look mighty handsome!

Bitcoin is wildly speculative. Nobody really knows. Some are better at guessing I suppose. But who are we to know who to trust?

There are two events worth noting. I typed out a much longer reply and this damn iPhone refreshed the page. But….

1) Bitcoin spot ETFs are brand new to the scene, investing directly in bitcoin.
2) The halvening event is predicted to occur in April. The halvening events don’t happen on a schedule, rather automatically after a certain number of blocks have been solved. It appears that this is happening approximately every four years give or take. There have been three halving events so far. You can look at what price did before and after each halving event, but we have a small sample size.

I still consider BTC a wild gamble and I only invest an amount that losing would not ruin me.

I always saw you as diligently thoughtful investor, so reading that you invested 1/4 of your TSP fortune in bitcoin through the janky-a** MFW interface struck me as way out of character--but you just explained your rationale above and it makes sense now :D

From my limited reading on halving events Bitcoin tends to reach its peak price post halving around 12-18 months post halving...which is supposed to take place the end of April this year. What makes this year different from previous halving events is now there are BitCoin ETF's and this Mutual Fund....So it's gonna put upwards price pressure on the long term holders to get those coins out of their wallets and into the ETF's...Which in turn is gonna drive the price of Bit Coin up! Big Time! Some experts believe it could take it up as high as $1-$1.5M per coin depending on how tight handed the longs are.

So...this is gonna be REAL interesting! History tells us that we get a price surge pre halving up to a point undetermined then a subsequent 30-35% retrace in the month post halving as sellers take profits of course....then followed by massive bull runs that last 12-18 months till it hits peak price as previously mentioned...you got to be in it to win it as they say...and now I am...

Thanks for the tip mjedlin66!

With any luck in 12-18 months I could be put back on track and caught up to my peers with my TSP account balance! LOL!

My Fingers are crossed!

25% of my tsp is less than 10% of our combined portfolios so it’s all relative.
