It took 9 years to hit 100K and 5 years later I have hit 300K.
I did transfer around 12k into the TSP from previous employers when I started working for the Federal Government. So 300k is my minimum number need to retire in 9 years. So I will be good.
Now if I can get it to double in 9 years, even better . Maybe I could retire even sooner. Time will tell, and the market will tell me

I am just an average Joe. I have no clue to what the market will do.

Re: Growing TSP
Good luck! I still have 20 to go, but who knows what inflation will do by then and other global events. One thing's for sure, in 20 years, the present price of the SP500 will seem unbelievably cheap.Scarfinger wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 10:05 am It took 9 years to hit 100K and 5 years later I have hit 300K.
