What happened in those last 10 minutes??
I’m totally confused by those large shifts to the S and C fund in the last 10-20 minutes of the market on Friday? Anyone understand why that happened?

Thank you Newbit for taking note and saying something. Personally, I have no idea what caused that. I don't know where the daily tracking graphs on this page actually gets its fundamental data.
I believe tsp.gov provides daily values for the funds, but not sure what time it posts etc.

IIRC, Live Charts pulls the data from Yahoo using the index that TSP says the core Funds are designed to replicate. So whatever shows up is what Yahoo is publishing.
I think that TSP posts end-of-day returns around 7pm EST.
I have no confirmed idea why the wild swing at the end of the day. The only significant thing that was on the calendar was the 2026 Russel Reconstitution.
The RR is basically a rebalancing of the various Russel indexes - which means they just update the lists of which companies are in which indexes. A company loses value and gets too small for the Russel 1000 (large cap), so it gets moved to the Russel 2000 (small cap), for example.
It's an annual thing the Russel does. This year was apparently a bigger change than normal, because the Russel 3000 saw a 29% increase in the amount of the market that index covers. That's a significant shift in what area of the market the Russel 3000 now covers.
The TSP doesn't follow the Russel 2000 anymore (like it did back in the 2000s through the mid-10s), but the rebalancing might well have affected how various companies in the DWCPF and SPX 500 were valued in the minds of the traders, and last-minute trades were executed based on that information.
The details on which companies / market sectors were being affected was released on Friday 26 June and the changes were applied at the end of day, and take effect first thing in the morning on Monday, 29 June.
It'll happen again on 1 December - which is a new thing for the Russel. In the past it was annual, going forward it looks like it will be a semi-annual thing.
Just my speculation, though.

Isn't that normal end of day, people buying & selling.
