There just doesn't seem to be any good news coming out. My guess is it will continue to tank.

Dow under 8000

Post by jeffvan1 »

All bets are off. With the DOW closing under 8000 I fully expect a free fall in the markets. Who knows? We m,ay get that 5000 DOW the Doom and Gloom pundits have prophesized.

You both called today! Volume was up on the selling today. People are giving up and selling. That is a trading sign of a bottom. Futures are rising tonight. I still think Jeff could be right about a Fri. rally. If we get one though, I would still sell it off and take the money Fri. before the close!

I guess the market couldn't help itself after being down 10+% for the week.

When Geithner was elected Treasury Sec. the market ran. I sure hope everyone who went in yesterday, got out today before 1200...

I'm still in and I hope the rally continues through Monday's session. Obama is suppossed to formally announce his economic team on Monday, but I also think existing home sales are announced Monday as well, we'll see

Late Monday selloff?

Post by Rocketeer »

The markets are still up in mid-afternoon trading, but a selloff late in the day might play out and that would be a shame, since tonight I'm retreating 100% into G for the rest of the month, at least. If I get out with just Friday's gains intact, I won't complain. As the bear rallies have been quite short of late, I'm watching this one very closely...

I think the rally will hold up through the close today...

Wow, that was a great couple of days! Great moves to get out today though, I think! Consumer confidence numbers out tomorrow. Job claims out I think on Wed. Still no good news! The rest of this week will be very interesting...

Oh yeah

Post by Rocketeer »

I'm very content with the getout today. Though I won't be as much if there's more on the upside tomorrow!
