I really like this site, but the lack of civility of late has been pretty hard to watch and I find myself coming here less and less. Directly mocking other forum members, describing things you don't like as communism when they aren't even about capitalism and free markets (feel free to complain about communism otherwise), and comparing people that disagree with you to the Nazis isn't helpful and doesn't improve the discourse.

I kindly request that people up their civility game.

With respect,

I completely agree and wish that the handful of individuals who make this site unwelcome actually take your advice. Maybe they should start by asking themselves why they came here in the first place. For me, I'm here to get some of the best (and free!) advice on the planet to help my TSP grow. Period. I contribute little because I have little to contribute. If one of the members posts a question (regardless of topic) and I can offer assistance then I will chime in. If I cant, or if my opinion on the matter stews up an uncivil response, I keep my mouth shut. Those of you who have been here longer than me please correct me if I'm wrong but this platform was never meant to be a stage for individuals to shout their opinions in a divisive and hateful manner. I personally don't agree with a lot of people but I respect their opinions. The moment you try to cram your opinion down my throat is the moment you become my enemy.

So lets all take KTSPcalc's advice and up our civility game. Lets all try to contribute in a positive manner. But if you simply cant, for whatever reason, keep your mouth shut.

Knock it off, Tomany. Please don't go stirring pots and kicking bee's nests. We're trying to keep things more TSP and retirement-focused, and this little remark doesn't help matters.

In my agency things are a bit mute, meaning no information is forthcoming. Those who have not been vaccinated were asked to submit an exception to HR. But for those who went that route, there has been no word as the status of their exemption. Everyone is kinda waiting on bated breath.

My religious exemption was approved on November 22nd. I was rather surprised as my argument was less than 10 words.

That's wonderful.

It bugs the hell out of me that people (not referring to you) have to resort to religious or medical exceptions rather that just saying I don't want too.

That is great news. I’m extremely happy for you. Hoping for the same news here!
