But that was in interesting observation you made ... I hadn't thought of using tspcalc seasonals as evidence of: patterns, or the lack of patterns, before.

The new seasonal builder (in beta) allows you to skip years. So you could study things like election cycles.

Speaking of patterns, I've noticed over the years, the market would do something odd and many people within earshot of me kept trying to find a reason to make sense of it. After a while you start to see a growing correlation of unexplained movements and wonder if the market is manipulated. Another interesting thought for me was that people in general are saying COVID-19 was the cause of the market plunging. TSPcalc strategy 85660 called to go to G Fund two day after the decline started. It called to re-enter the market on the day it rebounded. The strategy is based on historical data. Make your own conclusions. I feel it was a magnifier of an existing historical trend. Japanese candlesticks, TSPcalc... who knows what the next set of tools will come to reveal about patterns in the future.
