TSPCalc and Fidelity

Post by chemoon »

Good afternoon
does anybody has use TSPCalc for fidelity funds?
I am new on this and reading much about this, I am thinking to use an strategy from TSPCalc since I did a coo-relation against Fidelity funds.
Any advice related to this topic would be appreciated it.
Thanks so much.

While you're asking for the fund names, I will give you a piece of advice. I have spent years comparing the options within the TSP to index funds from Fidelity and ETFs. I've found that the returns can be quite different between the TSP and other funds. This is primarily because the TSP pays dividends in a different manner (and different schedule), it's managed differently (sometimes outperforms the index) and follows narrow indexes. For example, the S fund only has one fund that uses the same index, that's FSMAX. The others are pretty easy to identify, but will give you different returns.

Good luck!

I am just an average Joe. I have no clue to what the market will do.

I'm a big fan of midcaps. Their index fund is a pretty decent buy. I would also suggest looking at their small-midcap ETF and at either their low volatility or multifactor etfs. Obviously that's only if you want to stick with Fidelity.

If you want to learn about what you're doing, then I would suggest to read stuff that Scarfinger suggested.

Best,

Bubba
