external influence(CORONA) or historical precedent(TSPcalc).

Post by TSPBuilder »

Strategy 85660 went to F Fund on 6/2/20 and is scheduled to be there until 6/25/20. Then have a three week possible upturn in the S and then C. Then six more weeks of F (1week), then G (1 week) and then three more weeks of F. This strategy was off by two days for the February downturn and on the spot for the bottom. It was three days late starting this time. I can't wait to see the outcome.

That’s kinda spooky Builder.
But you were not in 85660 were you? Like me, finding great systems/strategies after most of the rewards are gone.

The power of using high-quality immutable data coupled with critical thinking skills, to drive quantitative decision making. So underrated nowadays.

Yeah, and thanks MJ. Almost forgot

I was then jumped out of F and back into S because the strategy is a high probability scenario and the previous two years you were better to be in S til the middle of the month. I am still developing data and comfort level with a new process. I am sharing the results that the strategy is more and more the place to be, especially in the TSP. It is having an even bigger impact in my more flexible ProFunds account. Still having growing pains there while trying to figure out when to utilize inverse funds during F and G times in the strategy. Still finding value in moving averages to determine high momentum opportunities like in March.

You've a keen eye, Tommy. Not everybody reviews the past to see clearer in the future. TSPcalc is proving past performance is indicative of future performance. Think of how many prospectuses might have to be re-written in fifty years (how long it is going to take for buy-n-holders to grasp that there might be another way instead of losing value in downturns). Working constantly on living longer and prospering :)

While far from perfect, analysis of past [raw and granular] data is the most reliable indicator of future outcomes. Everything else is arguably subjective.
